Seeing an inept, incompetent, overhyped England team being torn to shreds by a German war machine. The English team didnt even deserve to enter the knock out stage of the competition. With France & Italy too gone, the most prominent European teams have exited.

Germany 4-1 England
It would be sad to see Germany and Argentina meeting in the next round as only one can go through. Sad, i love both the teams.

Its a hat-trick of wins for Saina Nehwal. After the Indian Open and the Singaporean Open, the defending champion Saina has won the Indonesian Open again in Jakarta. True, the top seeded Chinese were not in the draw, but it doesnt take the sheen away from the wins of the World’s 3rd ranking player.

Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal continued her rampaging form as she completed a spectacular hat-trick of titles by clinching the Indonesia Open Super Series with a three-game triumph over Japan’s Sayaka Sato on Sunday.
Unbeaten for the past three weeks, the top seeded defending champion defeated her unseeded but resolute rival 21-19, 13-21, 21-11 in a rollercoaster encounter that lasted 45 minutes.
This was Saina’s third successive title, having won the Indian Open Grand Prix at home and the Singapore Open Super Series Tournament last week. This is also the 20-year-old world number three’s third Super Series title overall.

2nd tournament win in a row after the India Open Grand Prix win a few days ago.
Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal clinched her second Super Series title, winning the Singapore Open with a straight-game triumph over qualifier Tzu Ying Tai in the final on Sunday.
The top seed Indian ace needed just 33 minutes to beat Chinese Taipei’s Tai 21-18, 21-15 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The world No 6, who was the lone Indian left in the fray after others crashed out by the semi-final stage, had bagged her maiden Super Series title last June at the Indonesian Open.
The in-form Saina came into the Singapore Open after winning the India Open Grand Prix Gold title last week.

The author has perfected a formula that he has used to beat the market consistently and earn more returns than what the index has provided. He calls it the Magic Formula Investing. The formula is explained in the book in relatively easy language. According to Greenblatt what you need to be concerned is just 2 things about a company:
- A company’s earnings yield

The rationale is straightforward: buy shares in good businesses, measured by returns on capital, only when they’re available at bargain prices, defined as a high earnings yield.
The magic formula looks for companies that have the best combination of earnings yield and return on capital, with each input weighed equally. An outstanding company with an expensive stock ranked, say, first for return on capital but 1,999th on earnings yield, would have the same combined ranking of 2,000 as a low return on capital company within expensively priced shares, ranking 1,999th in return on capital but first on earnings yield.
Using this approach to create a regularly updated portfolio of about 30 stocks with the highest combined rankings, Mr Greenblatt tested his formula between 1988 and 2004. The results were remarkable: with only one down year, the magic portfolio would have returned 30.8 per cent a year, against a 12.4 percent annual return for the S&P 500. Rather than using the latest 12 months’ earnings to calculate earnings yield and return on capital, Mr Greenblatt and his analysts try to improve on the rote application of this formula by using earnings estimates in a “normal” year, one in which nothing unusual is happening within the company, its industry or the overall economy.
