What a recovery it has been for the markets.  Just a year ago, the Sensex crashed to 8160 points.  Now its trading above 17000 points.  More than 100% growth in just a year.  No other sector (gold, PPF, debt, realty) would give you that kind of growth.  When the markets were down last year and i was talking about the opportunity to buy into some good companies, many of my friends dissuaded me from doing that.

Buy when everyone sells and sell when everyone buys” is probably the only way to make money in the market.  Following the heard mentality is sure to give a lot of heart pain in the long run.

The exhilarating bounce from the lows that the Indian equity market touched on 9 March 2009 is now a year old—and what a year it has been. These 12 months have been a wildly profitable time for those brave souls who held their nerve and bought stocks, while it has been a missed opportunity for those who thought it was a short-lived bear market rally and thus preferred to sit on cash.

The benchmark Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index, or Sensex, closed on Tuesday at 17,052.54, up 109% over a year ago, though just about nobody believes the next 12 months will be as good.

Paper Tiger and their chicken followers

When Raj Thuggeray’s Thackeray’s security was scaled down, he cried mummy and hid inside his home.  Now, after waving black flags at Rahul Gandhi’s trip to Mumbai, some of the Shiv Sena’s leaders’ police protection has been withdrawn leading to cries of mummy again. Hahahaha…. i love the scums of Shiv Sena, their paper tiger’s empty threats and their panic the moment their security cover is withdrawn.

Three Shiv Sena legislators complained Monday that their police security cover had been withdrawn, and accused the Congress-NCP of getting back at them for their recent opposition to the government.

Two of the three lawmakers, Jogeshwari MLA Ravindra Waikar and Andheri MLC Anil Parab, were among the 342 Shiv Sena activists who were detained last week for waving black flags at Rahul Gandhi during his visit to Mumbai. Before that, Parab had led a march to Shah Rukh Khan’s home to protest the star’s statement that Pakistani players should have been part of the IPL.

The third lawmaker, Bandra MLA Prakash (Bala) Sawant, said he had not taken part in any protests but had visited police stations to talk to Sainiks who had been detained.

MLAs and MLCs in Maharashtra are provided security by the Protection and Security Department of the Mumbai Police, and are assigned policemen not above the rank of constable who carry a small weapon and work in 12-hour shifts.

Sawant complained he had been targeted despite his not having taken part in the protests. “I had only gone to meet activists detained at various police stations,” Sawant said. He added he would write to the police to ask them to restore his security. “My constituency is very sensitive and if anything happens to me the state government will be responsible.”

I have always believed that all these morons dont deserve even a single police constable’s protection around them.  Since they have no qualms whipping up communal and regional feelings and exhorting their supporters to beat up innocent people, the police should also let them be at the mercy of people who want to take revenge from them.

Let them also be beaten into pulp while the rest of the world watches the fun.

2611

The seventh dossier was passed to Pakistan a few days ago.  Am sure it went into the dustbin as usual.  In spite of all evidence passed, Pakistan refuses to admit its complicity in the attacks.  Even if it does, there is nothing much to do about it.

The Pakistani army and its rogue intelligence agency, ISI have the official policy of using terrorism as an instrument of strategy against its neighbours. Too bad, it has finally spiralled out of control and Pak itself is under constant bombardments from the monster it created.

Not to mention, the Afghan – Pak border has become such a hotspot for the terrorists that the Americans are regularly using drones to bomb the hell out of the place.   To take out one terrorist, the US drones kill 100.  Pathetic ratio, no doubt.   It only makes it easy for the jehadis to indoctrinate the suffering people.   More terrorists are born, the cycle continues.

Till the US comes to its senses and crushes the evil nexus of the Pak army, ISI and the jehadi factory, they are in for a long haul in Afghanistan and there is not going to be any peace in the neighbourhood.

Paper tiger blames grapes for being sour

The paper tiger of Maharashtra does what he does best, barking from behind the high walls of Matoshree or in the editorials of Saamna.  No one takes Bal Thuggeray serious anymore, but you cant discount the comedy that one gets out of his comments.

Stunned by his party’s third consecutive defeat at the hustings, Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray today blamed the people of Maharashtra for “pushing the state back into hell” by re-electing the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) combine.

In an editorial in the Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna, which expressed the party’s shock and anguish over its rout in the 2009 assembly polls, the Sena chief and the newspaper’s editor wondered what were the great achievements of the Democratic Front government in the past 10 years that made people to vote for it.

“There was corruption, load-shedding, Maoist terror which killed policemen, suicides of thousands of farmers, Mumbai terror attacks, etc,” Thackeray noted in the editorial.

The results of the assembly elections held Oct 13 gave the Congress 82 seats and the NCP 62 — totalling 144 in the 288-member assembly. The opposition alliance got a drubbing with only 90 seats, the Shiv Sena getting 44 and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) 46. The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) got 13 seats.

Thackeray blamed the people for the defeat of the Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saffron alliance and for bringing back a “naalayak” (useless) government.

Mummy, they are planning to hurt me

They say, “a bully is always a coward“.  Under mobocracy, they thrive and rule. And when the opposition stands up to them, they panic.  Its been same of dictators worldwide and its same of political wannabies.

raj_thackeray_dog

First we saw the bully Raj Thackeray exhorting his goons of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) to beat up migrant workers from UP and Bihar who came to Bombay to find work.  And when the government removed the Z category security, he panicked and started accusing the government of making plans to eliminate him.

Same is the case with Varun Gandhi.  Only an idiot would agree with the mother-son claims that the CD showing Varun Gandhi using threatening and vulgar words against the Muslim community and the Prime Minister were morphed or somehow tampered with.

Even a layman could make out that Varun went on with his hate filled speech which was gleefully applauded by the chaddi gang till someone filmed the speech and bought the crime to light.   The same Varun Gandhi who once threatened to cut down people of a certain community is now quivering in fear and is hiding under his mamma’s pallu as there are rumors that the sharp shooters of underworld don, Chhota Shakeel are on the lookout to eliminate him.

In the wake of the arrest of six sharpshooters of the Chota Shakeel gang, who were allegedly planning to kill the lawyer of Varun Gandhi, Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament Maneka Gandhi on Sunday shot off a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, saying she was concerned about her son’s safety.

“It is with the deepest concern for my son’s life and safety that I write to you today,” she said in her letter in the wake of the arrest of the gang members.

In a separate statement, Varun, 29, said while he was not personally intimidated by such cowardly threats, strong precautions must be taken to defeat the desperate designs of extremist elements.

“The Home Ministry should respond with the urgency and responsibility that behoves those entrusted with the safety of a whole nation,” he said, claiming that it was a plot against his life by dangerous underworld criminals.

The Delhi police on Saturday claimed that the gang had come to the capital to allegedly kill Varun’s lawyer.
