No sooner was the Indian team bundled out of the Twenty-20 World Cup after a defeat against England, morons in India have started burning effigies of Dhoni.
“Dhoni took the T20 world cup lightly. It seems Dhoni is more fascinated by glamour world instead of cricket,” said Shyama Kumar, one of the protesters.
This Shyama Kumar guy must be one of the loser kinds like the ones we see on our streets with nothing better to do than pick up fights with all and sundry. Or must be one of the hired goons paid by the media who were being royally ignored by Dhoni and his team.

2 years ago, Twenty-20 was a novelty. No one had a clue about India’s strengths and weakness in the game. The young team led by MS Dhoni won the inaugural twenty-20 world cup at South Africa.
Two editions of IPL later, all the players in the Indian team are under the radar of the opposition’s think tanks. They are sure to have made their own plans on how to counter Yuvraj, Yusuf Pathan, Rohit Sharma, Gambhir, Sehwag, Dhoni, Raina etc…
Its precisely why, this Twenty-20 World Cup at England will be the acid test for Dhoni and his men. For Dhoni, its time to prove that his previous victory was not a fluke and that luck always plays a big factor in his victories.

India opens its schedule with a game against Bangladesh on Saturday (6 June). There is just 7 victories between any team and the World Cup.
So, kya yeh cup kahin nahin jaayega? Well, time will tell. Meanwhile, am sure i dont need to specify which team Iam cheering for

On one hand it was a great feeling seeing Deccan Chargers back to their winning ways by trouncing Mumbai Indians by 19 runs. A stupendous bowling effort by Rohit Sharma who took 4 wickets for 6 runs which included a hat trick was the main reason for the DC win.
And on the other hand, heartbreak to see Chelsea miss yet another seat to the Champions league finals. Andreas Iniesta’s injury time goal meant that Barcelona drew 1-1 with Chelsea and thus moved into the finals with a better away goal record.
Earlier, Michael Essien scored for Chelsea in the 9th minute to go 1-0 for the English team.

Indian tennis ace Leander Paes and Zimbabwe’s Cara Black won the mixed doubles crown at the season-ending Grand Slam on Thursday. The fifth seeded Indo-Zimbabwean pair beat the American-British pairing of Liezel Huber and Jamie Murray 7-6, 6-4 in the final.
The triumph increased Paes’s tally of Grand Slam crowns to eight. In 1999, Paes had partnered Mahesh Bhupathi and Lisa Raymond to win the men’s doubles and mixed doubles crowns at Wimbledon.

American brothers Bob and Mike Bryan won their seventh Grand Slam men’s doubles crown Friday, defeating India’s Leander Paes and Czech Lukas Dlouhy 7-6 (7/5), 7-6 (12/10) to take the US Open title. The Bryans, who ran through the tournament without losing a set, previously won Slam crowns at Roland Garros in 2003, the US Open in 2005, Wimbledon in 2006 and the Australian Open in 2006 and 2007.
The defeat denied Paes a chance at a US Open doubles double, having already claimed the mixed crown with Zimbabwe’s Cara Black. Paes had claimed such doubles in 1999 at Wimbledon and the French Open, partnered with American Lisa Raymond in mixed and compatriot Mahesh Bhupathi in the men’s doubles.
The victory enables the Bryans to move back into the world number one ranking from second.
