After reading the latest post by the Fakeipl player, Iam  having a suspiction that the blogger could be none other than Saurav Ganguly himself.  A few reasons why i feel the same.

sg-srk

1. He says at the end that he is retiring from all forms of cricket after IPL. He is retired from one dayers and tests and after this year’s humiliation, it seems Saurav has had enough of cricket.

2. At one point of time in the blog he said that he will blog thru his brother as laptops are being banned in hotels and other places. Saurav has a brother Snehashish, a former cricketer i believe. Saurav could have been referring to him.

3. The blog only referred to Saurav as Lordie. Other than sulking, it never had any bad remarks against him. The only two things written consistently about  Saurav was that he was aloof or sulking. This could have been to ensure that  no one could suspect him. He gave himself a reasonably good nickname. Everyone knows Saurav is known as Maharajah. Almighty Lord suits fine.

4. Also the blogger has declared that he will disclose his identity after the last match. No cricketer worth his salt will take this risk. Only Ganguly has nothing to lose. He has enough anger against Shah Rukh Khan for all the humiliation meted to him, and its pretty evident in all his posts. Even in the most current post.

5. There are rumors that Kolkata Knight Riders have dropped Kolkata from their name.  Their spat with the administrators of the Eden Gardens cricket stadium in Kolkata is also well known. At one point, there were rumors that KKR would shift to Cuttak in Orissa and base there.  If that happens, Ganguly will not be a part of their plans anymore.  Not that he is, now.

I could be wrong. The last day of the IPL could really throw up a surprise. It could be SRK himself looking for his 2 cents of publicity.  Meanwhile, we have another reason to see the end of IPL this year :D

Very Very Special Laxman

After being forced to follow on, VVS Laxman played the match of his life hitting 281 against a mighty Aussie attack (Warne, McGrath, Gillespie) at the Salt Lake Stadium at Kolkata. For only the 3rd time in history, a team forced to follow-on (India) went on to win the test match and equal the series.

If you thought the above innings was a fluke, watch this 178, Laxman hit against the Aussies at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Fluent, wristy strokes.

VVS Laxman has been the perennial thorn in the flesh for the Aussies. India would be relying on him when they visit Australia this month. I will be watching the Boxing day test match between the two teams. Am sure, it will be worth every penny.

jk rowling
The author of famous Potter series J K Rowling has filed a copyright violation case in the Delhi High Court against a Kolkata-based Durga pooja organiser for using statues of the Harry Potter characters without permission. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul issued notice to the pooja committee and sought its reply by October 12, the day pooja begins.

The lawsuit sought a restraint order from the court against the pooja committee at Salt Lake from using Harry Potter characters on the pandal, as it was a clear violation of Rowling’s intellectual property rights, the suit contended. The pandal is designed in a manner which resembles Hogwarts Castle and displays statues of the Potter characters like Hagrid and Hedgewig apart from Potter himself, the suit said.

What crap. I have always maintained that Harry Potter is Indian. His real name is Hari da Puttar. Even our history mentions about this. This is an attempt by the west to bulldoze our 749847893909433 centuries old history. This should be condemned. I call for an all India bandh tomorrow to protest against the west hegemony. We demand an enquiry by a Supreme Court judge into this incident.

Iam planning to meet up with the President of India and submit a formal letter of protest. I hereby declare that all Harry Potter movies be banned in India henceforth until Rowling grovels on her knees and ask for forgiveness for insulting our 749847893909433 centuries old history. Also all Harry Potter movies should now be known as “Hari-da-Puttar and the granite stone“.

Note: Btw, my protest has nothing to do with the fact that i find JK Rowling absolutely sexy and delicious. Yummy…
