The best day ever was on 27 December 2007 when this blog registered 1855 hits. It was immediately after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto. Though the post that everyone read was about the previous attack on her motorcade in which she survived.

That is just super. Is it the tags? Or is it the fact that you blog a lot about news…?

Aniche, Youirkme, Dinsan, Unnikuttan, Krishna, Akhil….thanks very much.

Akhil, its a lot to do about the news that i blog. The reason i blog a lot about the news back in India is because here in S’pore, i see that people have a very low perception of India. They still look at it as a land of snake charmers and elephants. We can label them ignorant and move on, but its our responsibility to make them understand what they are missing out on.

Even the media here hardly reports anything positive that happens in India unless of course if its a scam or a flood/drought or a terrorist attack.

That’s why, i make it a point to write the positive side of what happens in India. Anything business and other positive stuff is mentioned here. Also because mentioning them gives me a chance to revisit them in case i need to refer to the news later on. You can call it some sort of an archiving too.

Ya, the tags too help a lot.

  7. Congrats! It is notable that you wrote 334 posts in 6 months. It is almost three times what I wrote in a year. My stats are also minuscule. πŸ™‚

My blog in rediff had 10,000 hits after 3 years. Here i had 10 times more hits in just 6 odd months. Ironical πŸ˜‰
